Suite in the skies
Emirates has been winning awards and topping all the top 10 airlines list and justifiably so.Their first class suite aboard the A380 and Boeing 777 is definitely one of the best flying experiences that are out there. Among the first to introduce the concept of private suites Emirates has done it with panache and style. The first class cabin With about 12-14 private suite is a private cocoon in the air with no overhead bins. Flat-bed seats, caviar , menu to order, mini snack bar,L'octainne toiletteres and closed sliding doors all make for a relaxed and truly private inflight experience specially in the long-haul flights. Your suite in the sky features an automated a soft leather seat that turns into a flat bed seat and is pretty wide . There is a lot of bling intertwined with brown in its design and can be seen in the various components like the snack & soft drinks bar,the vanity, the LCD touchscreen, the writing desk and the cute little lamp. The suite is a modern tech marvel with its mood lighting, virtual windows and temperature control. Each suite is adorned with orchids which add in a bit of a color. There is stow away place under the desk for your cabin baggage. A charging port, and a touchpad to control the lights, seat etc in the suite.
The door slide open /shut at a touch of a button, come equipped with a DND button assuring complete privacy. . The suites are configured in 1-2-1 seating thus allowing those traveling together to have the option of being in touch.
The onboard dining experience lets you dine on your own time and pick anything from the menu. All you need to do is give the crew about a 45 minute heads- up The meals are served in fine gold rimmed china accompanied with gold plated cutlery. The food comes well plated just like at a high-end restaurant. There is caviar, made-to-order eggs and Dom Periginon to wash it all done along with an extensive menu to choose from.Well now who wouldn't like to get eggs served just the way they like it at 40,000 feet up in the air. And the inflight entertainment is extensive with games, movies, TV, music from all across the world. And yes then their is the internet too. Wifi is available inflight. If you can manage to pull yourself away from your ultra-luxe suite in the sky a short walk away is a tastefully appointed lounge bar where you can unwind with a drink and hors de overs anytime while onboard. You can choose to read a book, chat , look about or work at the lounge. I once saw northern light while lounging at the First Class Lounge en route to San Francisco.
While you indulge in all the luxury inflight what is truly top notch is yes the Spa shower . Well who doesn't dream of showering while flying at 40,000 feet. That is definitely one of a kind experience. The spa shower is well appointed, spacious, temperature controlled and yes has a tech savvy shower. The spa shower attendant quickly verses those flying for the first time in the workings of the spa shower. There are plenty of towels and robes for you to use. You can change into your complimentary brown soft pyajamas (kept in your suite) after your 2 minute shower in the sky.
All in all flying first class is truly worth all the moolah and lives up to the hype.
